  1. How do I get on to a team?
    1. Everyone registers as an individual in Lakewood Baseball Club.
  2. Are there try outs?
    1. LBC teams do not have try outs.There are pre-formed teams that play in LBC that may hold try outs.
    2. Players in Shetland and Pinto Divisions will be placed on teams.Players in Mustang, Bronco, and Pony attend evaluations if they are not returning to their 2016 Team.
  3. I played in 2016.
    1. If you played with Lakewood Baseball Club in 2016, in the registration process, you will have the opportunity to list the team.It is the intention of LBC to return all eligible players to their “home” teams.
    2. Please make sure your coach includes players name on team roster prior to end of registration.
  4. I played in 2016 but my team is not returning.
    1. If you played in LBC in 2016 but that team no longer exists or player is aging out of the returning team, they may request to be added to an existing teams roster OR
    2. If you are in Mustang or above, you will need to attend evaluations and will be placed on a team through the draft.
  5. I did not play in 2016.
    1. During the registration process, you will select that you did not play in 2016.
    2. If you are in Mustang or above, you will need to attend evaluations and will be placed on a team through the draft.LBC will take requests for team placement but that is not a guarantee.
  6. What is a “Pre-formed” team?
    1. These are teams that may be part of another youth organization or have been a team in other baseball organizations.
    2. Everyone registers as an individual in Lakewood Baseball Club.
    3. The Team coach must submit a team roster prior to end of registration.
  7. Can I form a team?
    1. It is not uncommon for friends or school mates to want to play together and form a team.
    2. Everyone registers as an individual in Lakewood Baseball Club.
    3. The Team coach must submit a team roster prior to end of registration.
    4. Any player that registers for that team but is NOT on the roster will be handled as though they are not affiliated with a team and must attend the evaluations (Mustang and above) and go through the draft.
  8. Can I join a team?
    1. You may ask to join an LBC team that played in 2016
      1. If you did not play in 2016 OR
      2. You are not eligible to return to your 2016 team (aged out of division)
    2. Players name must be on team roster prior to end of registration.
  9. A coach asked me to join their team.
    1. Congratulations!
    2. We must ask though if you are eligible.
      1. You must not have played for an LBC team in 2016 and are eligible to remain with that team.
    3. Coaches may NOT recruit from existing teams
      1. Players that are not eligible to return to a 2016 team (aged out or team is not returning) may be recruited.
    4. Everyone registers as an individual in Lakewood Baseball Club.
    5. Players name must be on the team’s roster prior to the end of registration.
  10. I do not wish to rejoin my previous team
    1. We are sorry to hear that but understand there are many reasons such as practice nights
    2. Make a notation in your notes during registration.
    3. If you are Mustang and above, you must attend evaluations and go through the draft.
    4. You may not join another team before evaluations and draft unless LBC Officials are contacted and player is released from former team.
  11. I can’t attend evaluations.
    1. While we are sorry to hear that, you will still be placed on a team
  12. Allow a week after end of registration to hear form your assigned coach.
  13. All Coaches and volunteers are required to register.
    1. Any person having unsupervised contact with players, must register and submit information for a WSP Background Check.
