WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT?
MISSION STATEMENT
Lakewood Baseball Club (LBC), a community baseball program operationally guided by All Things Baseball (ATB a non-profit 501(3)C program), exists to develop young athletes and strong people through the game of baseball.
We strive to instill in our players the values of sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, accountability, and teamwork, helping them grow into confident, healthy, and well-adjusted members of their communities.
It is our mission as coaches, parents, and leaders to provide a positive, structured, and character building environment for players of all abilities and experience levels, one where they can learn the game, compete with integrity, and apply those lessons both on and off the field.
Serving the community since 1991.
WHO WE SERVE
Lakewood Baseball Club is a non-profit organization providing youth ages 4–14 the opportunity to play the great game of baseball. Our players come from mainly Lakewood, while also serving Tacoma, Puyallup, University Place, Parkland, Steilacoom, and surrounding communities.
Players are placed into divisions based on age and skill level to ensure developmentally appropriate competition and growth.
While LBC is an independent non-profit and is not affiliated with Lakewood Parks & Recreation or Clover Park School District, we are grateful to utilize many of their facilities in partnership with the community.
OUR STRUCTURE
LBC is operationally supported and guided by All Things Baseball (ATB), which provides leadership, organizational infrastructure, player development frameworks, and administrative systems that allow LBC to focus on its mission: serving families and developing players.
This partnership allows LBC to maintain its strong community identity while benefiting from professional operational support, consistent standards, and long-term sustainability.
OUR PEOPLE
Our coaches are volunteers, many of whom are parents of players, who generously give their time to mentor, teach, and serve the youth of our community.
In addition to coaches, volunteers serve in vital operational roles including board officers, committee chairs, registration, sponsorship coordination, and league administration. Simply put, there is no league without our volunteers, and we are deeply grateful for their commitment.
PONY BASEBALL AFFILIATION
Lakewood Baseball Club is proudly affiliated with PONY Baseball, a national organization built on the principle that all youth deserve the opportunity to play.
PONY stands for Protect Our Nation’s Youth, and emphasizes character development, community involvement, and inclusive participation as young people grow into tomorrow’s leaders. It is a family-centered, community-based program that aligns strongly with our values and mission.
